Travel and Tourism Growth In India
MoT sanctions 27 projects worth Rs 70 cr. in statesMinistry of tourism has sanctioned central financial assistance worth Rs 70 crores for 27 projects spread over different Indian states in the first four months of the current financial year. While some of these projects are related with conservation and promotion of heritage destinations at places like Sanchi, Chettinad and Srirangam, some others are projects connected with development of eco-tourism. These projects include Dongargarh and Kodar (Chattisgarh), Pathiramanal (Kerala), and Bungus Valley (J&K). Under the rural tourism segment, financial assistance have been sanctioned for rural tourism projects in states like Nagaland, Orissa, UP, West Bengal, Gujarat, J&K and Jharkhand.
